Hewlett-Packard Co. hired Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP partner Gregg R. Melinson to serve as vice president of global government affairs and deputy general counsel in Palo Alto, effective Sept. 19. Melinson, who worked at Drinker Biddle most recently as chief marketing partner, has also served as deputy general counsel to former Gov. Tom Ridge of Pennsylvania.
