High Court To Review Furloughs

The California Supreme Court is taking up the issue of whether the governor has the power to furlough state workers in tough economic times.

The California Supreme Court is taking up the issue of whether the governor has the power to furlough state workers in tough economic times. In an order announced Thursday, the court unanimously agreed to review of California Attorneys v. Schwarzenegger, S182581. It's the first in a series of similar cases to reach the high court.
