SAN FRANCISCO - Thirty-seven percent of people who took the California Bar Exam in February passed, marking a slight increase from last year.
Although it wasn't a record, February's pass rate was 3.6 percentage points higher than in February 2009, when the rate hit a seven-year low. The year before that, in 2008, 39.6 percent of applicants passed.
