Samsung Settles Price-Fixing Suit

Samsung Electronics has agreed to pay Rambus $900 million in cash and stock, resolving a long-running and bitter legal battle just days before the possible start of an antitrust trial in San Francisco Superior Court.

SAN JOSE - Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. has agreed to pay Rambus Inc. $900 million in cash and stock, resolving a long-running and bitter legal battle just days before the possible start of an antitrust trial in San Francisco County Superior Court over alleged price-fixing by memory chip manufacturers.
