Elderly Couple Files Lawsuit Against Insurer

LOS ANGELES - An elderly couple filed a proposed class action in Los Angeles federal court Monday against the American Investors Life Insurance Co., claiming the company and its affiliates improperly target senior citizens for deferred retirement plans that don't make payouts for 10-to-20 years - past the life expectancies of the buyers.
