California Needs to Prepare Inmates for Life After Prison
Forum Column - By Jeffrey A. Lowe - California has the largest and most expensive prison system in the nation. The state is facing a crisis in prison overpopulation, and if current trends continue, it will be overwhelmed with prisoners returning to prison because they failed parole. This issue needs to be addressed in a systemic way that includes rehabilitation in prison and a support system after inmate release.
