Court Opens Door to Car Thief Arrests
A widely used police tactic to bait thieves into stealing autos appeared Wednesday to have won the California Supreme Court's approval. A majority of the justices, during nearly an hour of oral arguments, indicated they do not believe that a "normal, law-abiding" person would steal a car no matter how easy authorities made the option.
