Pepperdine Taps VP to be Next President
Pepperdine University professor and administrator Andrew K. Benton will become the seventh president of the university. Benton, 47, will assume his new post July 1, after the departure of David Davenport, who has served as president of the 62-year-old institution for the past 15 years. Davenport said he would like to pursue a position with a think tank in the areas of education, public policy and religion, or head a Christian nonprofit organization.
