Arbitrator dismisses Dunn's lawsuit against State Bar

Arbitrator Edward A. Infante gave Dunn leave to amend four of his five causes of action by May 1.

An arbitrator delivered the State Bar a near knock-out victory Friday in its contentious legal battle with former Executive Director Joseph L. Dunn. JAMS arbitrator Edward A. Infante dismissed all five of Dunn's causes of action in his whistleblower retaliation lawsuit over his firing.

The bar said Infante's order was further evidence that Dunn's claims were meritless and it was looking forward to the conclusion of the case.
