State Bar let hundreds of complaints against non-attorneys sit idle

At least 273 claims of unauthorized practice of law sat in drawers without review for months.

The State Bar's failure to promptly address all complaints alleging unauthorized practice of law by non-attorneys was more widespread than the nearly 60 uninvestigated claims the agency said it recently learned about.
