New LA County bar leaders support pro bono arm, look to fundraising

Despite calls to end subsidization of the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s pro bono work amid a fiscal shortfall, the new leadership remains optimistic about a self-sustaining future.

Despite calls to end subsidization of the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s pro bono work amid a fiscal shortfall, the new leadership remains optimistic about a self-sustaining future.

Newly sworn-in President E. Michael Meyer said Monday he is very confident that the fundraising sources will be there. “I think it is critical that we support these projects. No matter what, this year we are going to continue it,” said Meyer.
