Former Contra Costa County DA’s law license suspended after conviction

The State Bar has placed former Contra Costa County District Attorney Mark Peterson on interim suspension, about six weeks after he was convicted of perjury stemming from alleged misuse of campaign funds.

The State Bar has placed former Contra Costa County District Attorney Mark Peterson on interim suspension, about six weeks after he was convicted of perjury stemming from alleged misuse of campaign funds.

Peterson, who resigned as district attorney after the conviction, is prohibited from practicing law effective Aug. 21, pending the ultimate disposition of his case.
