A Santa Ana federal judge has awarded attorney fees to petitioner’s counsel in a case where the government denied an Afghan national and his family entry into the U.S.

U.S. District Judge Josephine L. Staton awarded $160,784.40 in attorney fees to counsel from Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP and Public Counsel who argued on behalf of an Afghan family of five who were detained at Los Angeles International Airport in March...
