State Bar waives policy to contract with former manager

The action of the agency’s Executive Committee on Wednesday paves the way for former employee Pam Wilson to receive a consulting contract.

The State Bar’s Executive Committee voted Wednesday to waive a restriction on former managers doing business with the agency so that a $167,000 consulting contract can be awarded to a recently retired employee.

The bar is trying to finalize a deal with a firm led by former longtime employee Pam Wilson to help the agency’s specialty practice groups split off into a private nonprofit.
