Howard J. Privett 1929-2017

Howard J. Privett, who worked for nearly four decades at McCutchen, Black, Verleger & Shea in Los Angeles, has died.

Trial attorney Howard J. Privett, who litigated cases for nearly 40 years, died at his home in San Marino on July 21. He was 87.

“Howard was truly a giant in the legal field,” said Ralph Zarefsky, a retired U.S. magistrate judge for the Central District of California. “He had a command in the courtroom that was really unlike anybody else ... and he was simply a terrific attorney in every way.”
