Law firm sues bank in check fraud case

A San Francisco federal judge said he would let a law firm proceed in litigation against a local bank but advised both sides to strenuously pursue a settlement.

SAN FRANCISCO — A federal judge said Thursday he would let a law firm proceed in litigation against a local bank but advised both sides to strenuously pursue a settlement.

San Francisco firm Cornerstone Law Group is suing Bank of San Francisco for processing a bad check and carrying out a wire transaction at the firm’s request.
