Law firm begins trial against former client and business partner

An attorney for a concert organizer blasted his former law firm in a trial over an investment agreement in opening arguments Monday.

Can an operating agreement for a business relationship between a law firm and its client, as vetted and prepared exclusively by the law firm, sufficiently prove an ongoing, binding partnership?

The agreement is central to a lawsuit against Danny Wimmer Presents LLC, a concert organizer, filed by its former law firm Davis Shapiro Lewit Grabel Levin Granderson & Blake LLP.
