The UC Berkeley chief campus counsel died Sunday while on a bike ride in Sonoma County, according to the California Highway Patrol. Patti was 59.

UC Berkeley chief campus counsel Christopher M. Patti was killed in a hit-and-run accident Sunday while on a bike ride in Sonoma County, according to the California Highway Patrol. Patti was 59.
Patti spent nearly three decades litigating on behalf of the University of California, first at the system-wide general counsel’s office in Oakland and later as the top litigator for the Berkeley campus.
