Wrongful death suit filed against police department over death of mentally ill man

A law firm has sued over the suffocation death of a mentally ill man whose mother called police for assistance in getting him to a psychiatrist.

Civil rights litigation firm Hadsell Stormer & Renick LLP has filed suit against the Whittier Police Department on behalf of the family of a mentally ill man who allegedly was suffocated to death by police after his mother called them to help get her son to a psychiatrist.
