The state Legislature has done what it failed to do a year ago: approve a State Bar funding and overhaul bill for Gov. Jerry Brown to sign.
The bill the Senate unanimously passed Tuesday calls for the separation of the bar’s specialty practice groups, known as sections, into a private nonprofit.
