State Bar’s contracts with employees’ union expire

The State Bar’s contracts with its employees’ union expired Friday, opening the door to a possible strike over disputes about cost of living pay increases and a proposed shift to a 40-hour workweek.

State Bar Vice President Jason Lee said Monday the bargaining process will continue and noted that the annual licensing fee that funds the agency has not been increased in 17 years.
