Judge dismisses StubHub’s expert witness in trade secrets suit
A federal judge disqualified Dr. Cynthia Lee, an expert witness for StubHub Inc. in a trade secrets case alleging the online ticket exchange stole another company’s scheduling application. Lee had previously worked as a third-party neutral for both companies in a pre-litigation review of the app in question.
A federal judge has disqualified an expert witness for StubHub Inc. in a trade secrets case alleging the online ticket exchange stole another company’s scheduling application.
U.S. District Judge Stephen V. Wilson ruled Monday to exclude the defendants’ expert witness Dr. Cynthia Lee, who had previously worked as a neutral for both parties in a pre-litigation review of the disputed scheduling app’s source code.
