State AG sues U.S. Department of Transportation for suspending greenhouse gas rule

Attorney General Xavier Becerra has sued the U.S. government for blocking a rule designed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from motor vehicles.

California and seven other states sued the U.S. Department of Transportation for blocking a rule meant to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from motor vehicles.

The complaint, filed Wednesday, targets a May decision to suspend an Obama administration-era rule called the Greenhouse Gas Performance Measure.
