Judge says he will rewrite gas tax repeal ballot title, summary

Superior Court Judge Timothy M. Frawley said Friday that he will rewrite the ballot title and summary for an initiative to repeal a recently-passed gas tax and transportation funding bill.

SACRAMENTO — Superior Court Judge Timothy M. Frawley said Friday that he will rewrite the ballot title and summary for an initiative to repeal a recently-passed gas tax and transportation funding bill.

The announcement came after litigants were unable to finalize compromise language on the 2018 ballot measure at issue. Allen v. Becerra, 80002643 (Sac. Super. Ct., filed July 14, 2017).
