DLA Piper nabs Venable’s West Coast expansion architect
Entertainment attorney Douglas Emhoff joins the office Oct. 1.
LOS ANGELES — Douglas Emhoff, an intellectual property lawyer married to Sen. Kamala Harris, is joining DLA Piper, the firm announced Monday.
Emhoff was until recently a managing director for Venable LLP, where he spearheaded a significant West Coast expansion. He said much of his time at Venable had been devoted to management issues and that he was looking forward to focusing on his practice.
