State Supreme Court declines to review San Diego authority water case

The San Diego County Water Authority suffered a major defeat in its battle with the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California Wednesday when the state Supreme Court declined to review its most recent appeal in a battle over water transportation fees that goes back to 2010.

The San Diego County Water Authority suffered a major defeat in its battle with the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California Wednesday when the state Supreme Court declined to review the most recent appeal in a seven-year battle over water transportation fees.

The water authority contended that its counterpart violated a water exchange agreement between the two agencies by overcharging for transportation of water.
