For years, Abercrombie & Fitch filled malls and Total Request Live commercial spots with Nordic looking men and women who appeared to attend schools with competitive lacrosse and crew teams.

That has somewhat changed, beginning 13 years ago when U.S. District Judge Susan Y. Illston signed off on a $40 million settlement of gender and race discrimination lawsuits against the retailer.
