Longtime 3rd District appellate court justice to retire

Justice George Nicholson of the 3rd District Court of Appeal announced Wednesday that he will retire after 30 years on the trial and appellate benches.

Nicholson praised his 3rd District colleagues.

“Grown people don’t say things like this, but I’m not reluctant to say it: I love every member of our court and I love every member of the staff, and I’m going to miss them all,” he said.
