Chief justice directs State Bar to craft fingerprinting rules

The justice’s letter was in response to legislation authorizing the bar to re-fingerprint active lawyers.

California Chief Justice Tani G. Cantil-Sakauye has directed the State Bar to provide her court with any proposed rules necessary to ensure the required re-fingerprinting of the roughly 190,000 active licensed attorneys takes place.
