San Francisco public defender’s office challenges bail on 282 criminal cases
San Francisco Public Defender Jeff Adachi announced Wednesday that his office has filed challenges to every criminal case in which bail was set since Oct. 10 in response to a California Attorney General Xavier Becerra’s refusal to defend the system in court earlier this month.
SAN FRANCISCO — San Francisco has filed challenges to every criminal case in which bail was set since Oct. 10, Public Defender Jeff Adachi said Wednesday. The move was in response to a California Attorney General Xavier Becerra’s refusal earlier this month to defend the system in court.
