Stockton attorney pleads guilty to defrauding immigrant clients

Yehlen “Mary” Dorothea Brooks operated an immigration firm in Stockton, where she charged clients between $3,000 and $16,000, according to a news release issued by Attorney General Xavier Becerra, whose office prosecuted her.

A disbarred attorney has pleaded guilty to defrauding immigrants by charging for services she never performed.
