TrueCar Inc. will be changing its billing model in California in accordance with a settlement reached this week in Los Angeles County Superior Court.

The settlement resolves a lawsuit filed by the California New Car Dealers Association, which alleged the company had been violating the California Vehicle Code by operating as a dealer without a license. California New Car Dealers Assoc. v. TrueCar Inc. et al.
