Persky recall supporters submit nearly 100,000 signatures

The campaign to recall a Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge Aaron Persky for giving a former Stanford athlete convicted of sexual assault a lenient sentence is one step closer to getting on the June ballot.

The campaign to recall Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge Aaron Persky for giving a former Stanford athlete convicted of sexual assault a lenient sentence is one step closer to getting on the June ballot.

Led by Stanford Law School professor Michele Dauber, recall organizers submitted nearly 100,000 signatures to the Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters Thursday in an effort to remove Persky from the bench.
