Longtime judge recalled for starting young, continuing as a neutral

The superior court and appellate justice died Friday due to congestive heart and renal failure. He was 91.

LOS ANGELES — Robert Feinerman, who spent 25 years as a California judge and mediated thousands of cases as an independent neutral, has died.

Feinerman’s daughter, Carol Diamond, said Tuesday that the retired judge died Friday due to congestive heart and renal failure. He was 91. More than 100 people attended the funeral Sunday at Hillside Memorial Park and Mortuary, she said.
