Baker’s lawyer files anti-SLAPP petition to end state attempt to force cake-making

An Anti-SLAPP motion has been filed on behalf of a Christian baker whose right to refuse to make a wedding cake for a same-sex couple was upheld, after finding out the complainants will not dismiss the suit.

An anti-SLAPP motion has been filed on behalf of a Christian baker in Kern County whose right to refuse to make a wedding cake for a same-sex couple was upheld, after it became clear the state agency that brought the lawsuit will not dismiss it because the U.S. Supreme Court is considering a similar case.
