LOS ANGELES -- The attorney for a former UCLA research doctor who said a male colleague made her job so unbearable she transferred to UC Irvine asked the jury of predominantly women for $15.9 million in damages during closing arguments on Wednesday.
The defense argued that the doctor planned her transfer for a year and was using the recent widespread awareness of harassment of women as a weapon when she was not actually under dures...
