Dean E. Barbieri, dean of the College of Law at John F. Kennedy University, wants to start classes at a San Jose campus this August, while Laura Palazzolo, dean of Lincoln Law School of San Jose, opposes the move.

A state-accredited law school’s proposal to open a branch campus in San Jose has drawn opposition from a peer institution already in the city and prompted conflict of interest allegations involving a State Bar manager.
