Finjan, Symantec settle patent litigation

A yearslong series of patent disputes between Blue Coat Systems Inc. and Finjan Inc. has settled with the announcement that Symantec Corp., which purchased Blue Coat in 2016, will pay $65 million in cash to Finjan Inc. and obtain a license to Finjan patents to resolve all pending disputes among the companies, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.
