‘Trademark zombie’ sues CBS for Desilu rights

The plaintiff says it holds the trademark to “Desilu Studios” and says CBS is infringing.

The holder of a "zombie trademark" looking to bring Lucille Ball's production company back to life has gone on the offensive with a lawsuit against CBS Studios Inc., the inheritor of the original company's intellectual property.

Plaintiff Desilu Studios Inc. sued Monday for declaratory relief, claiming CBS' use of the name "Desilu" violates its trademark and creates confusion for consumers.
