9th Circuit splits sneaker ruling

It reversed in part and affirmed in part an infringement ruling against Skechers in a lawsuit with Adidas.

A 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel ruled Thursday that Skechers lookalikes of two Adidas sneakers are likely infringing, concluding that there was enough evidence of potential harm to justify a preliminary injunction on one shoe, but not enough on the other.
