Bakersfield baker’s case may be affected by high court ruling

Following Monday’s U.S. Supreme Court ruling in favor of a Colorado baker who refused to produce a wedding cake for a gay couple due to his religious beliefs, it’s anyone’s guess how a similar pending case in California’s appellate court will turn out.

Kern County Superior Court Judge David Lampe ruled in favor a Bakersfield baker in a case that may be affected by Monday's U.S. Supreme Court ruling about the rights of same-sex couples and religious bakers.

Following Monday’s U.S. Supreme Court ruling in favor of a Colorado baker who refused to produce a wedding cake for a gay couple due to his religious beliefs, it’s anyone’s guess how a similar pending case in California’s appellate court will turn out.
