Progressive DA candidates win one race of four heated battles

Diana Becton became the apparent winner of the Contra Costa County district attorney race when her opponent conceded.

Diana Becton has apparently won the race to be Contra Costa County’s next district attorney.

Although her opponent conceded Thursday, her campaign cautioned supporters the results are not official. But she appears to have more than enough votes to avoid a runoff with Senior Deputy District Attorney Paul Graves.
