Legal sector employment surged in June

Employment in the legal services industry surged unexpectedly in June, adding 4,800 jobs and reaching a level not seen since January of 2009, when the sector was plummeting in the wake of the financial crisis of 2008.

Employment in the legal services sector surged unexpectedly in June, adding 4,800 jobs and reaching a level not seen since January 2009, at the start of the recession .

Legal employment has hovered between 1,135,500 and 1,136,600 for most of 2018, displaying a lack of momentum before leaping to 1,141,400 in June.
