Operation Streamline for border crossers begins in Southern District

The group hearings approach for immigration prosecutions comes in the midst of the U.S. government’s ‘zero tolerance’ policy.

SAN DIEGO — Seven men and one woman facing unlawful border crossing charges simultaneously entered a packed federal courtroom here Monday afternoon with sullen looks on their faces and were seated in two rows of chairs.
