Former State Bar president James Fox was named the next chair of the Committee of Bar Examiners.
The California Supreme Court has named former State Bar president James Fox as the next chair of the embattled Committee of Bar Examiners, a move that may help reduce tensions between the panel and bar executives.
Fox, who said he will step down from his current post as a bar board trustee, became a member of the bar examiners effective Wednesday and will start his one-year term as the panel’s chair Sept. 14.
