Legislature passes State Bar bill
The funding legislation awaits the governor's signature
The State Bar's annual funding bill is headed to Gov. Jerry Brown's desk after receiving final legislative approval Wednesday night.
The Assembly voted unanimously to concur with recent amendments to AB 3249, which keeps the basic annual bar fee for lawyers at $315 and is less far-reaching than last year's bill splitting off the agency's specialty practice groups.
