ADA website accessibility lawsuits are surging in 2018

Plaintiffs filed 4,965 federal ADA Title III lawsuits in just the first six months of 2018, compared to 7,663 for all of 2017.

Disability access lawsuits filed alleging violations of Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act have, for years, been plentiful. Title III is the part of the ADA that requires public accommodations -- businesses like retailers, hotels, hospitals, restaurants, etc. -- provide equal access to their goods and services to individuals with disabilities.
