ORANGE — Outside of his juvenile dependency court, Orange County Superior Court Judge Antony Ufland and his wife have teamed up with Newport Beach-based Dog Republic to find homes for shelter dogs.

Explaining that the company’s owner, Kevin Burke, started the enterprise as a dog walking service, Ufland said he and his wife were first introduced to Dog Republic when they employed Burke to walk their own rescue dog.
