9th Circuit reviews injunction blocking U.S. from changing contraceptive coverage rules

Nationwide injunctions, a federal contraceptive health care coverage mandate and an unprecedented jurisdictional argument were on full display before the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals Friday when judges heard the U.S. government’s plea to reverse a district court order blocking it from rolling out new rules on institutions’ duty to pay for employees’ birth control.
