SAN FRANCISCO - Twenty years after clerking for U.S. District Judge Thelton E. Henderson, Judge Haywood S. Gilliam sits in his own chambers in the Philip Burton Federal Building, one floor below his "mentor, good friend, and hero."
"It's like going back in time," Gilliam said, "only now I have a bigger office."
